Your Mac operating system has several features that allow you to better protect your privacy. You can manage your overall privacy settings for your Mac here.

The current version of macOS is macOS Tahoe (26). Keeping your Mac updated is one of the most important privacy and security steps you can take.


More specific recommendations for better privacy on your Mac:

  • Disable access to your Camera, Microphone, Calendar, and other permissions
  • Update your Operating System regularly
  • Encrypt your Mac with FileVault
  • Turn on the Firewall
